Hi, I’m Korbyn!

Why I Built SYNC’D:

In 2024, I reached a point of true career accomplishment. Yet, looking around a packed cafeteria at work, I was instantly heartbroken by the lack of diversity that hadn't changed in a decade. I built Sync’d to be the intentional solution I needed early in my career and the bridge we need now.

Who I Am:

By day, I am a Technical Program Manager at Google, where I drive complex initiatives and solve large-scale technical problems. I love the challenge of my work, but throughout my career, I noticed a recurring bug in the system: a systemic shortage of diversity and the intentionality required to fix it.

Navigating the tech industry as a minority woman often felt like trying to read a map in the dark. I had the ambition and the drive, but I struggled to find mentors who looked like me—leaders who didn't just understand the technical landscape, but also understood the nuance of walking into a room where no one else shares your background.

I realized that "you can't be what you can't see" isn't just a cliché; it's a barrier to entry.
