Hi, I’m Korbyn!

By day, I am a Technical Program Manager at Google, where I drive complex initiatives and solve large-scale technical problems. I love the challenge of my work, but throughout my career, I noticed a recurring bug in the system: isolation.

Navigating the tech industry as a minority woman often felt like trying to read a map in the dark. I had the ambition and the drive, but I struggled to find mentors who looked like me—leaders who didn't just understand the technical landscape, but also understood the nuance of walking into a room where no one else shares your background.

I realized that "you can't be what you can't see" isn't just a cliché; it's a barrier to entry.

Why I Built Synced

I built Synced to be the solution I needed five years ago. I wanted to move beyond the occasional coffee chat and create a dedicated community where minority professionals can find culturally competent coaching, real strategic guidance, and a safe space to grow.

How I Mentor

My mentorship philosophy is simple: Strategy over platitudes. I don't just tell you to "lean in." I work with you to decode corporate politics, build technical confidence, and design a career roadmap that honors who you are. Whether you are an aspiring PM or a seasoned lawyer, my goal is to help you clear the hurdles I had to jump over alone.
